Business Analyst (Investment & Trading Platform)

Role Summary The Business Analyst (BA) acts as afunctional lead between Business Units (Treasury & Markets, Private Banking, Wealth Management) and Technology Engineering teams. You will drive front-to-back delivery of digital investment and capital markets trading platforms—focusing on trade capture, execution, order routing, valuation models, risk controls, and regulatory alignment under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) framework. Key Responsibilities Requirements & Agile Delivery: Lead sessions with traders, portfolio managers, and risk teams to translate business strategies into detailed User Stories, Business Requirement Documents (BRDs),and Functional Specifications (FRDs). Front-to-Back Trade Lifecycle: Map end-to-end workflows across multi-asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Rates, and Derivatives) covering trade capture, pricing, P&L, risk management, clearing, and settlement. System Integration & Market Feeds: Support integration design for Order/Execution Management Systems (OMS/EMS) and external interfaces (e.g., FIX engines, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Reuters, and internal engines like Avaloq or Murex). Testing & Release Ownership: Define acceptance criteria, run end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT), analyz evaluation/trade discrepancies, and support production stabilization and releases. Governance & MAS Compliance: Ensure platforms strictly follow MAS regulatory standards, market convention changes, trade reporting rules, and internal audit guidelines. Required Qualifications & Competencies Category Skill Profile / Expectations Domain Experience 4–8+ years of Business Analyst experience in Capital Markets, Wealth Management, or Investment Banking platforms. Asset Class Knowledge Deep understanding of multi-asset class mechanics, pricing models, yield curves, and trade lifecycle events. Core Platforms Familiarity with banking/trading platforms such as Avaloq, Murex, Charles River (CRD), or custom proprietary trading applications. Technical Stack Proficiency in SQL (data validation/queries), API specs, JSON/XML flows, and Agile tools (Jira, Confluence). Education Bachelor’s degree in Banking/Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
