Backend Software Engineer (Python or PHP)

Salary: $109,759.26 - 164,638.89 per year Requirements: At least 2 years of experience with Python and Django Experience developing RESTful APIs with Django Experience with PHP Experience with Kubernetes/EKS and AWS, including ownership of large-scale production deployments for critical backend services Bachelors degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience; related coursework or extensive professional experience may also be considered 5–7 years of relevant work experience AdTech or advertising industry experience is a bonus Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate software solutions aligned with business needs Analyze system requirements and customize applications to support optimal functionality Help update existing applications and roll out software releases Mentor junior engineers and promote technical excellence and knowledge sharing Work with Quality Assurance to verify software against technical specifications and deliver reliable applications Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in software applications and systems Use market research and industry trends to inform project strategies and product improvements Train operational staff to use internally developed applications effectively Participate across the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and application integration Contribute to code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote engineering best practices Apply independent judgment and discretion to significant matters Maintain regular, punctual attendance and be available for nights, weekends, and variable schedules as needed Carry out other duties as assigned Follow our operating principles, prioritize customer experience, learn and advocate for our technology and services, collaborate as a team, support customer feedback initiatives, drive results, foster inclusion, and act in the interests of colleagues, customers, investors, and communities Technologies: AWS Backend Cloud Django Support Kubernetes PHP Python API More: We are Comcast, working with FreeWheel, our advertising technology company, to connect publishers, advertisers, and media buyers through comprehensive ad platforms.
