Backend Developer Location: Remote in Latam Job Type: Full-Time Employee or Contractor Contract Type:Full-time Colombian Labor Contract or Contractor Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs. Ensure system scalability, security, and performance. Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to define and integrate APIs. Troubleshoot and debug backend systems, ensuring high availability. Write clean, maintainable code following best practices. Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions. Technical Requirements +4 Years of solid experience with at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Go, Java, or C#). Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration patterns. Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or non-relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB). Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container/orchestration tools. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). General Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. Fluent English (B2+), both written and spoken. Proactive communication, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in Agile teams.
