Back-End Engineer

Salary: $88,000 - 115,000 per year Requirements: At least 3 years of professional backend software engineering experience. Strong proficiency in TypeScript and NestJS or similar backend frameworks. Solid understanding of backend performance optimization and scalable system design. Ability to design, build, and maintain GraphQL and REST APIs. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design. Familiarity with real-time technologies such as Socket.io, WebSockets, or similar frameworks. Familiarity with AI-powered applications, LLM integrations, and modern AI tools. Ability to integrate third-party APIs into scalable backend systems. Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with global teams while based in our Miami office. Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment. Experience with Twilio services such as Voice, TaskRouter, Sync, Studio, or Flex. Knowledge of Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with Redis or other caching solutions. Preferred: At least 3 years of professional PHP experience. Responsibilities: Build, maintain, and improve backend services using TypeScript and NestJS. Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL and REST APIs in line with our engineering standards. Develop real-time features using Socket.io and WebSockets. Build and maintain Twilio integrations, including Voice, TaskRouter, Sync, and customer communication workflows. Collaborate with Front-End Engineers using Next.js to deliver seamless user experiences. Design efficient database models and queries using PostgreSQL. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues while improving system reliability. Write clean, well-tested code. Participate in code reviews and apply feedback effectively. Work with Product, QA, and Engineering to estimate, plan, and deliver features on schedule. Own assigned work from ticket through production deployment. We are seeking a Back-End Software Engineer for our on-site engineering team in Brickell, Miami. In this hands-on role, you will build production-ready features within our established architecture and work closely with our Engineering Lead and Front-End team on scalable backend services, real-time communication, and API integrations for our customer platform. The position is on-site Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
