AWS Data Engineer

Salary: $83000 - 155000 per year Requirements: We need 5+ years of hands-on AWS development experience, specifically across S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and Aurora. We need 5+ years of programming experience with Python and PySpark. We need 5+ years of experience with relational databases, SQL, and PL/SQL. We need 5+ years of experience working with CI/CD, AWS infrastructure, and AWS CDK. We need 2+ years of experience with real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis. We prefer experience in the banking or financial services domain. We value strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. We require excellent verbal and written communication skills. We need someone who can collaborate effectively and drive work with stakeholders. We prefer a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent blend of education and experience. We are looking for a candidate with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience. We value proficiency in agile delivery, creative thinking, learning agility, and emotional agility. We look for intermediate capability in IT automation, databases, configuration management, elastic computing, SaaS, PaaS, cloud security, customer focus, communication, teamwork, analytics, problem solving, and data-driven decision-making. We look for advanced proficiency in cloud computing, cloud solutions, software development, scripting languages, troubleshooting, SDLC, and cloud storage. Responsibilities: We design, develop, enhance, test, debug, and maintain cloud applications. We support the design of business processes in the cloud. We maintain applications and infrastructure for cloud-based platforms. We create strategies to improve the performance of existing cloud technologies. We provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support. We work independently and manage non-routine situations with sound judgment. We may take on additional accountabilities as needed. We develop scalable and accessible cloud business applications. We migrate existing applications to the cloud, adapt them for cloud environments, or build cloud-native solutions from the ground up. We build and maintain applications using multiple programming languages. We integrate data sources and address compatibility and security-related issues. We design, configure, and implement cloud-native software that solves business problems. We develop workflows and processes aligned with cloud architecture and best practices. We document cloud computing operations and create technical instructions. We establish development environments and continuous integration pipelines. We apply modern application patterns and write efficient code. We translate user needs into technical specifications. We exercise judgment to diagnose and resolve issues within established guidelines. We apply our Risk Management Framework and risk culture to make informed decisions that protect the bank and support business strategy.
