Automation Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright using JavaScript/TypeScript to design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in migration projects, Agile testing practices, CI/CD integration, and test framework development. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and execute UI automation test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript. Work on application migration and testing activities, ensuring functional and regression coverage. Design and develop scalable and maintainable automation testing frameworks. Implement Agile testing practices such as BDD, TDD, and Cucumber. Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or Azure DevOps. Identify and implement testing best practices, reusable components, and solution accelerators. Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment. Analyze test results, identify defects, and track them using JIRA and ServiceNow. Participate in test planning, estimation, execution, defect management, and reporting. Improve test automation coverage, framework reliability, and execution efficiency. Troubleshoot automation failures and ensure timely resolution of issues. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation standards. Mandatory Skills 4–10 years of experience in Software Testing / Test Automation. Strong hands-on experience with Playwright. Strong programming experience in JavaScript or TypeScript. Experience in UI Automation Testing. Good understanding of BDD/TDD and Cucumber. Experience integrating automation tests with CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on experience with GitHub or Azure DevOps. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Experience with JIRA and/or ServiceNow. Experience in developing or enhancing automation testing frameworks. Good understanding of testing best practices and automation design principles.
