Assistant Project Manager – Civil Construction Location: Leesburg, VA Job Type: Direct Hire Salary: Starting at $73,000, with higher compensation based on experience Position Overview We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager – Civil Construction to support the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction estimating, project coordination, or project management and a strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and contract administration. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field with 2–3 years of construction project management experience ; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in civil construction estimating, project coordination, or project management . Understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, and contract administration . Experience coordinating subcontracted and self-performed work . Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software . Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills . Ability to travel to project sites as required . Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record . Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate active construction sites, including stairs and ladders . Preferred Qualifications Experience with IDIQ, design-build, or task-order construction projects . Experience with government or federal construction contracts . OSHA 30 certification . First Aid and CPR certification . Construction Quality Management (CQM/CQC) certification . Engineer in Training (EIT), Associate Constructor (AC), or similar industry credential .
