Applied AI/ML Lead

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements: We require a bachelors degree in computer science or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or a masters degree in computer science or a related field with 2+ years of experience, along with training and hands-on work in LLM/NLP and search. We are looking for a proven record of building and scaling software or machine learning platforms in high-growth or enterprise environments. We need experience with machine learning frameworks, MLOps tools, and related practices. We expect strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java, as well as infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. We require experience building AI agents such as LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen, integrating tools and APIs, and delivering RAG-based solutions such as OpenSearch. We need hands-on experience with software delivery pipelines and orchestration tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD. Nice to have: experience developing large-scale machine learning solutions using big data to solve real-world problems such as classification, regression, or recommender systems. Responsibilities: We provide technical guidance and direction to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors. We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others. We drive decisions that shape product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes. We contribute to the engineering community by promoting firmwide frameworks, tools, and software development lifecycle practices. We influence peers and decision-makers to consider leading-edge technologies. We drive innovation in machine learning solutions with an emphasis on scalability, flexibility, and future-ready architecture. We act as thought leaders and trusted advisors to executive leadership, offering strategic recommendations on machine learning initiatives and solutions. We architect and oversee the development of next-generation machine learning models and systems using cutting-edge technologies. We ensure the platform supports complex use cases, including real-time predictions, big data processing, and advanced analytics. We promote software and model quality, integrity, and security across the organization.
