About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Support Engineer to join a global team focused on the production support, operational stability, and resilience of business-critical payment platforms. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in L2/L3 Application & Production Support within the banking/payments domain. They should be adept at leading major incident resolution, enhancing operational improvements, and collaborating with global technology and business teams. This position necessitates a hands-on technical leader capable of ensuring service stability while promoting the adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices. What we offer: Long Term B2B Contract Rate: 140 PLN/ H + VAT Hybrid 6 days per month ( flexible) Main Responsibilities Lead L2/L3 production support activities for critical payment applications. Manage and coordinate major production incidents to ensure timely service restoration. Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Problem Management activities to mitigate recurring issues. Monitor production environments to ensure high availability and operational resilience. Support change, release, and deployment activities for production systems. Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to enhance service reliability. Identify automation and operational efficiency opportunities. Contribute to the implementation of SRE practices, including observability, monitoring, and reliability improvements. Participate in on-call support and out-of-hours incident management when required. Mentor and support other engineers within the team. Key Requirements Strong experience as a Lead Support Engineer , Production Support Engineer , or Application Support Engineer . Hands-on experience providing L2/L3 production support in a banking environment. Solid knowledge of payment systems and payment processing, including SWIFT, SEPA, Cross-Border Payments, High-Value Payments, Real-Time Payments, Transaction Banking, Treasury Payments, or Payment Operations . Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Root Cause Analysis. Proven ability to support business-critical, high-availability production environments. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Nice to Have Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) . Knowledge of observability, monitoring, automation, SLIs/SLOs, and reliability engineering. Experience improving production stability through automation and continuous operational improvements.
