Application Specialist (with Advanced SQL Scripting)

About the role An Application Specialist role focused on ensuring smooth business application service operations by resolving issues in a timely manner and facilitating the transition of application features from development to production environments. Key responsibilities Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving issues in a timely manner Facilitate smooth transition of application features from development to production environments Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations Assist in the automation of existing manual activities to improve the consistency and efficiency of business application service delivery to end-users Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management Manage escalations related to operational topics Qualifications: Advanced SQL Scripting: With at least 6-10+ years in SQL preferably MSSQL. Strong intermediate to advanced SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries for application troubleshooting, data analysis, and issue resolution. Application & Production Support: Proven experience in application and production support, including incident management, problem management, root-cause analysis, and timely issue resolution. Technical Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to translate technical SQL solutions and application issues into clear business context. Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively manage incidents, operational escalations, expectations, and cross-functional collaboration. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts, SQL logic, issues, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Good to have but not required: AWS Cloud Services Background in Data Analytics, Data Engineer, ETL Processes CICD tools like github, gitlab, git, jenkins Java/Python Programming language MSSQL/Snowflake Database Supporting any related to Finance Services Data or Finance Services Application
