Application Programmer - Jersey City, NJ - Contract - $68-73 Per HR We are seeking an experienced engineer to design, build, and scale advanced software extensions supporting complex developer workflows. This remote contract position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence technical direction. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with developer tools and IDE extensions. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable software extensions for developer workflows. Collaborate with teams to influence technical direction and improve developer experience. Maintain and update extensions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. Integrate with custom source control systems and virtual file systems. Optimize performance within IDE environments. Qualifications 8–10 years of software engineering experience. Proven track record in delivering production-grade developer tools. Expertise in extension development, including publishing and versioning. Strong programming proficiency in multiple languages. Solid understanding of software architecture and internals.
