Application Engineer (Backend)

Salary: $103,800 - 218,100 per year Requirements: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance High school diploma/GED and at least 12 years of technical experience; associates degree and 10 years; bachelors degree and 8 years; masters degree and 6 years; or doctorate and 4 years Degrees and diplomas must be from accredited institutions, and experience must relate directly to the technical labor category Proficiency in Python Experience with Docker Expertise in Django or Flask Experience with MongoDB or MariaDB REST endpoint development skills Understanding of the microservice model Desired: experience with AWS or other cloud platforms, knowledge of JSON and/or XML serialization, familiarity with Jira and Confluence, proficiency with Git, and experience in an Agile environment Responsibilities: Develop, test, deploy, and maintain Python-based REST endpoints, microservices, and data model management capabilities using Django and Flask Work with data models in MariaDB or MongoDB and provide requested data to user interfaces in JSON format Provide middleware and backend support for system applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services and optimize their performance Technologies: AWS Backend Cloud Confluence Django Docker Flask Git Support JIRA JSON MariaDB MongoDB Network Python REST Security XML microservices UX UI Design More: We are hiring a full-time, regular Application Engineer (Backend) for our Information Technology team, with no travel required.
