Application Engineer, AI/ML

📋 Description Develop, test, and deploy ML models using 2D and 3D CT data for inspection. Own the full model lifecycle with data prep, design, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining (MLOps). Scope ML deliverables with Project Managers, set timelines, define success criteria, and communicate progress and risk. Collaborate with Product Management and Software Engineering to turn recurring customer needs into product features. Contribute to Lumen Dynamics's AI/ML strategy, including evaluation standards, deployment patterns, and governance. Produce technical documentation, including model docs, validation memos, and customer-facing reports. 🎯 Requirements 4+ years in applied computer vision with model development and evaluation on image/volumetric data. Hands-on experience taking ML models from training to production, including deployment and monitoring. Experience translating business or engineering problems for customers into ML solutions. Comfort operating in engineering/manufacturing environments, including on the production floor. Strong written and verbal communication; present results to engineering, product, and exec teams.
