Appian Security Business Analyst

Salary: $95,000 - 105,000 per year Requirements: Active Secret clearance is required. Foundational understanding of cybersecurity. Intermediate-level knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals. Intermediate-level knowledge of cybersecurity assessment practices. Intermediate-level knowledge of cybersecurity operations. Strong background in software testing and solution validation. Ability to interpret cybersecurity terminology and complex security issues. Capability to work closely with developers to identify, remediate, and retest security gaps. Preference for candidates located in or near the Washington, D.C. area. Background in software testing fundamentals. Experience working with Agile processes and procedures. Responsibilities: We evaluate a new software deployment to identify possible cybersecurity weaknesses and security gaps. We collaborate with developers to review issues and determine appropriate corrective actions. We develop remediation plans with technical team members. We create and run tests to assess security-related software changes. We confirm that implemented solutions close identified security gaps. We translate cybersecurity terminology and complex security concerns into clear testing requirements. We document testing activities, results, issues, and remediation outcomes. We support security assessments using cybersecurity fundamentals and operational security knowledge. We take part in Agile testing, issue resolution, and solution validation activities.
