About the role
Develop models and perform analysis on sensor and weapon systems for mission-level simulations using AFSIM.
Salary: $98000 - 240000 per year Requirements: Bachelors degree in a technical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Minimum of two years of experience utilizing AFSIM for modeling, simulation, and analysis. Experience in conducting statistical analysis to identify trends and draw conclusions. Highly skilled at acquiring knowledge in new and challenging subjects. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment and communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders. Proficient or fluent in programming or scripting languages such as MATLAB or Python. Capability to obtain the necessary Special Access Program (SAP) level access. Eligible to secure an Interim Secret level security clearance by the start date and ultimately a Top Secret level clearance, with U.S. citizenship required. Responsibilities: Develop models and perform analysis on sensor, tracker, communication, and weapon systems for mission-level simulations using AFSIM to extract valuable insights, inform conclusions, and support decision-making. Conduct statistical analyses to identify trends, evaluate risks, and document uncertainties in simulation outputs. Collaborate with the software development team to enhance our custom tools, including designing efficient data representations for large datasets and automating production analysis workflows. Work closely with a small team, mentoring junior analysts and collaborating with senior engineers to guide project directions. Engage in independent research initiatives that promote innovative solutions and encourage self-driven initiative. Present findings through briefings to both technical specialists and key decision-makers.
