Aerodynamics Engineer

📋 Description Perform and oversee low/mid/high fidelity aerodynamic simulations of Nimbus Data Systems eVTOL aircraft Lead aerodynamic design and optimization of aircraft OML components for maximum performance Architect linear, non-linear, and real-time aerodynamic models for behavior and control Analyze flight test and wind tunnel data to identify model discrepancies Integrate flight test data back into aerodynamic simulation models of various fidelities Contribute to Nimbus Data Systems aerodynamic software stack, improving methods and workflows 🎯 Requirements BS / MS / PhD in Aerospace Engineering or a related field 10+ years with BS / 8+ years with MS / 4+ years with PhD in rotorcraft, eVTOL aerodynamics Expert in fixed-wing and rotorcraft aerodynamics, performance, and stability & control Proven experience with gradient-based and gradient-free optimization techniques Experience with aerodynamic design of airfoils, wings, control surfaces or similar Experience with surrogate modeling techniques (Kriging, Neural Networks or similar) for aerodynamic modeling and design 🎁 Benefits Equal opportunity employer promoting diversity Reasonable accommodations provided Accommodation requests to People Team We do not discriminate by race, color, religion, sex, or national origin No agency recruiters without prior written agreement
