Active Directory Architect

Job Title: AD Architect Location: United States Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H) Work Authorization: USC / GC Only Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Active Directory Architect with expertise in Windows Active Directory, IAM, Server Management, and O365 Migration . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Active Directory environments, ensuring seamless integration and security. Key Responsibilities Active Directory Administration & Security Extensive hands-on experience in Windows Active Directory . Installation, configuration, and upgrading of Active Directory domain controllers . Manage system properties, policies, and services within the Active Directory structure. Handle schema updates and Group Policy Objects (GPO) management . Configure and manage AD DNS services, DHCP servers, and trust relationships . Maintain Active Directory security and ensure compliance with industry standards. Experience in AD disaster recovery and continuity planning . Automate Active Directory processes using PowerShell scripting . Migration & Deployment Conduct O365 Tenant-to-Tenant migrations using Quest, BitTitan . Plan and execute Active Directory migrations from on-premises to cloud or between on-prem environments. Utilize migration tools such as Quest Migration Manager (QMM), Forensit, BitTitan, ShareGate, Cloudyn, Cloudhighway . FileServer migration and deployment of DFS (Distributed File System) . Technical Expertise & Support Troubleshoot Directory Replication service issues. Manage AD Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, web SSO, and OAuth . Lead and coordinate large-scale infrastructure projects . Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders and IT teams. Additional Advantageous Skills Knowledge of Azure VDI, Remote Desktop Services . Familiarity with banking, manufacturing, travel, and healthcare industries . Experience in scripting and automation. Qualifications & Certifications Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Preferred Certifications: MCITP MCSA ITIL Foundation Cloud Certifications (Azure, AWS, or equivalent) Preferred Skills & Attributes Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
